This application aims to support individuals in their spiritual pursuits, whether seeking liberation from the cycle of rebirth (saṃsāra) or aspiring to attain specific spiritual or heavenly goals. It offers a streamlined method for tracking progress in recitation practices through a digital Japa Mala (rosary) interface. Users can record their recitations and monitor their advancement towards their personal targets.
The app includes a selection of Mantras documented in Hindu Puranas and Upanishads, such as Om Nam Shivaya, Ram Krishna Hari, among others. Additionally, it features specific chants aimed at appeasing planetary deities like Ravi, Mangal, and Shani. For instance, practitioners might recite the Ravi Mantra 6000 times or the Shani Mantra 19000 times to seek favor from these celestial beings.
As users recite these or other selected Mantras with the app, it tracks the average recitation time per session. Based on this data, the app estimates the additional days or hours needed to reach the user’s recitation goals, thus aiding in the planning of daily meditation routines.
While primarily designed with Hindu spiritual practices in mind, the app’s functionality can be adapted for meditation practices across other religious traditions including Christianity, Jainism, Buddhism, Islam, and beyond.
